BEGO, Inc., cordially invites you and your family to join our summer street festival free and
open to the public!
WHEN: Sunday, August 14th, 2016
WHERE: Central District Between 24th and East Cherry Street to MLK Jr. Way S.
TIME: From 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This all-day street festival features:
- Twelve piece band with exotic instruments from the East African region
- Ten dancers perform dance to the music of 19 Ethiopian multicultural-linguistic groups
- Ten singers perform a combination of songs in Ethiopian languages that reflect culture in the Tigrigna, Oromo, and Amharic tradition. (Other Ethiopian musicians, singers, and dancers are encouraged to sign up and join us.)
- There will also be fashion shows of the latest in Ethiopian fashions, art vendors, other booths, and a DJ.
